Free Cherry Blossom Clipart Vectors by Mandy

My new free cherry blossom clipart set is now available! It includes 8 pretty pink images with vectors, and it’s totally free for personal use!

I love cherry blossoms. They so fresh and pretty. I think of those first few pink blossoms each year as natures promise that spring is really here. I love them so much I even planted my own Stella cherry tree when we moved to our house. (It’s blossoms are less showy than it’s Japanese counterparts, but it produces nicer cherries and is hearty enough for our Canadian climate!)

We lived in Toronto’s west end for many years, and were lucky to visit High Park’s Sakura Cherry Trees almost every year. A large section of the park is filled with beautiful pink cherry blossoms (…and tourists, photographers and brides) for a few weeks a year. It’s a really stunning thing to see if you every find yourself in Toronto in early May!

Free Cherry Blossom Clipart

I have been meaning to create a cherry blossom freebie for quite a while, but spring always sneaks up on me too quickly. This year, I finally got around to it!

How I Made the Freebie

I love watching other people work online. It’s sort of mesmerizing to watch a white screen or canvas come alive before your very eyes. Mark and I both spend WAY to much time watching “Speed Art” videos on YouTube.

People always ask me “how do you make these?” regarding my clipart sets. I thought I’d try my hand at making my own “Speed Art” video. You can watch it below if you’re interested in seeing how my art is done. 🙂

    • Thanks so much Ann!

Yes, I’m totally self taught. I have taken a number of traditional art classes, but I’ve been learning digital art on my own for almost 20 years! 🙂

For tutorials, I am planning to post some of my own so stay tuned! 🙂 Until then, I find tutsplus.com and lynda.com quite good!

      All the best,
      Amanda
